Blade length and cutting edge
Blade length measures the blade as documented by the manufacturer. Cutting-edge length describes the cutting portion. Compare the same measurement when choosing between models.
PPI, TPI and tooth patterns
PPI means points per inch; TPI means teeth per inch. Listings retain the manufacturer’s terminology. Lance, Tri-Edge and raker patterns identify different tooth designs.
Replacement-blade checklist
Check the existing saw model, blade reference, mounting holes or socket and the dimensions. Pole handles are not included with blade-only listings. The FI-17s-B listing identifies compatibility with the FI-1700 hand saw; other mounts need to be checked individually.
